About Seiko Yoshioka

Hello!
I am a Japanese artist based in New York, USA.

I have been working in the animation industry since 2007, when I got my first job at Production I.G’s art department, Ogura Kobo. In 2017, I became a freelance artist and have worked as an art director on a variety of projects. After that, I moved to the United States and have continued working as a freelance artist.

I began my career as a background artist, and I still find great joy in painting backgrounds.
In recent years, I have become especially passionate about creating concept art and key visuals, understanding the stories behind each project, building their worlds, and conveying emotions through light and color.

2007年でProduction I.Gの美術部の小倉工房で初めての仕事を得て以来、アニメーション業界で活躍しています。2017年にフリーランスになり、美術監督として様々な作品にたずさわりました。 その後、アメリカへ移り引き続きフリーランスとして活動しています。

私は背景美術から自分のキャリアを始めたので背景を描くことに喜びを感じていますが、最近では特にコンセプトアート、作品の物語を理解し彼らの世界を造り、光や色を通して感情を伝えることに情熱を感じています。
